A 10-year-old patient successfully received the largest cranial implant in the country in a surgical operation performed during the first quarter of this year at the Sótero del Río Hospital.

During the operation, 350 cm2 of artificial bone developed in Chile and manufactured through a 3D modeling and printing system were implanted, having been provided by the national startup arcomedlab.
